Managing people is hard at any level, yet organizations rarely dedicate resources to properly training managers to be more effective.  This is particularly troubling considering that the quality of their supervisor is one of the main drivers of employee satisfaction. 

 

The Performance Coaching Model is a simple and proven coaching cycle that facilitates coaching conversations between a manager and their employee. It is designed to ensure employees understand WHAT is being asked of them and WHY it's important, engages them in a collaborative process to come to a mutual agreement on HOW they will achieve the goal,   provides the employee with clear expectations of what to DO, and provides a format to regularly REVIEW what happened, learn, and agree on the best path forward.
